Coris Mack attended school in the Longview independent school district where he graduated from Longview Highschool.
He played football while growing up.
He only played football his freshman and sophomore year for the Lobos as a defensive tackle, but would go on to play 4 years of college football as a linebacker.
Known by everyone in the area as Mack, he attended Ranger jr. College for two years. He started both years there as a inside linebacker. He accumulated over 200 tackles in his two years there.
Mack moved on to Texas A&M Commerce to continue his football career. He played outside linebacker there again averaging over 100 tackles each year he was there.
After finishing his football career, Mack moved back to Longview to start his family. He got married and was blessed with two sons.
While working and finishing his degree at LeTourneau University, Mack began to coach little league sports and found a love for coaching and developing the young aspiring athletes. He would do this for the next 20 years as his two sons began to get active in sports.
One of his sons would go on to be one of the top recruits in the state for football and later signing with Texas A&M. His son would go on to graduate and be drafted by the Baltimore ravens.
His youngest son became one of the top baseball players in the state earning a scholarship to Eastfield community college. After graduating from Eastfield his son now has a D1 scholarship at Grambling university.
Mack is a proud father and he also understands the process it takes for young athletes to achieve those goals.
